About Our Trade Control System

In April 2008, IBIDEN established a Trading & Logistics Division, adopting the following four internal rules on trade control to comply with trade-related laws. Having acquired the AEO certification in December of the same year, we now bear a weight of responsibility and we are taking steps to strengthen trade control.

IBIDEN’s Trade Control Rules:

1. Basic Rules on Trade Control
   (Rules on system and organization for trade control)
2. Rules on Managing Customs-related Laws
   (Rules for appropriate export/import-filing procedures)
3. Rules on Security Trade Control
   (Rules for the appropriate export of products related to arms and weapons of mass destruction)
4. Rules on Managing Appended Table 2 of the Export Trade Control Order
   (Rules for the appropriate export of materials such as drug ingredients and toxic substances)

* Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)
A system in which Customs offers preferential treatment to companies certified as excelling in legal compliance.

Exporting IBIDEN Products

Please contact your IBIDEN sales representative when exporting IBIDEN product overseas. We will issue a parameter sheet reflecting “items 1-15 (List Control) of Appended Table 1 in the Export Trade Control Order of the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act.”

Even if the IBIDEN parameter sheet assesses product as “Not subject” or “Inapplicable,” we ask exporters to take appropriate export management procedures by confirming the use, demand and inform conditions, since IBIDEN products are subject to “item 16 (Catch-all Control) of Appended Table 1 in the Export Trade Control Order of the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act.”

About IBIDEN Products Subject to the Export Trade Control Order

Certain IBIDEN products are subject to “items 1-15 (List Control) of Appended Table 1 in the Export Trade Control Order of the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act.” Please note that export approval from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is required when exporting these goods.
