IBIDEN Co, Ltd. selected for inclusion in MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index

IBIDEN Co, Ltd. (Head Office: Ogaki, Gifu Pref., President: Takeshi Aoki) announces that it has been selected for inclusion in MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index (hereinafter referred to as the index) that MSCI Inc. ^*1 provided. IBIDEN Co, Ltd. has been included in the index for the fourth consecutive year since they started providing and it has received the highest rating AAA on seven point grade scale in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment (as of June, 2020). The rating of AAA is rated only for 8 of the 236 companies selected for the index.

The index comprises Japanese companies with relatively high environmental, social and governance performance selected by MSCI Inc. from among the constituents of the MSCI Japan IMI Top 700 Index, and it has been selected by the Government Pension Investment Fund for Japan (GPIF) as benchmarks for its ESG investment.
