IBIDEN Co, Ltd. selected for inclusion in MSCI ESG Leaders Indexes and MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index

IBIDEN Co, Ltd. (Head Office: Ogaki, Gifu Pref.; President: Takeshi Aoki) is pleased to announce that it has been selected for inclusion in MSCI Inc.'s ^*1 MSCI ESG Leaders Indexes and MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index.
MSCI ESG Leaders Indexes comprises companies with the highest environmental, social and governance rating in each sector of the parent index, and IBIDEN Co, Ltd. has been selected for inclusion for the first time.
Regarding the MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index^*2, IBIDEN Co, Ltd. has been included in the index for the fifth consecutive year since its inception.
Also, IBIDEN Co, Ltd. has received the highest AAA rating of a seven point grade scale in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment (as of June, 2021). The AAA rating was awarded to only 14 of the 229 companies selected for the index.

The index comprises Japanese companies with high environmental, social and governance performance selected by MSCI Inc. from among the constituents of the MSCI Japan IMI Top 700 Index, and it has been selected by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) of Japan as a benchmark for its ESG investment.
