We implement disaster relief activities to contribute to the recovery and reconstruction of people's lives and social infrastructure in the communities.

Disaster Relief Activities for a Wildfire Affected District

In May 2019, IBIDEN Mexico S.A. de C.V. donated relief supplies such as drinking water, emergency rations and shovels for construction work to villages affected by wildfire in the Villa de Reyes District, where the company's plant is located. The donation included not only supplies provided by the company, but also those donated by employees through solicitation.

Disaster Relief Activities for a Taal Volcano Eruption Affected Area

In January 2020, IBIDEN Philippines, Inc. conducted disaster relief activities in the area affected by the Taal Volcano eruption, in whose vicinity the company's plant is located. The company established its own evacuation center for the affected employees, and donated relief supplies such as blankets to those who afflicted by the eruption.

Support for Measures against COVID-19

Each company in the IBIDEN Group has offered support for measures against COVID-19. Among the Group companies in Japan, IBIDEN Greentec Co., Ltd., which is a designated manager of the Flower Festival Commemorative Park in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture, presented homemade face masks and disposable masks to Kani City.
IBIDEN Philippines, Inc. also provided supplies such as face masks and gloves to local hospitals and made donations to the local government, to support its measures to help local residents.

Volunteer Fire Corps Cooperating Office

In December 2017, 34 plants of IBIDEN's eight Group companies in Japan were certified as Volunteer Fire Corps Cooperating Offices by and received issuance of an Indication Plate from the local municipalities of the respective plants. The purpose of the Volunteer Fire Corps Cooperating Office Indication System is that the certified offices' cooperation with fire corps activities are broadly recognized as a social contribution, and that the local communities' disaster prevention systems are further improved through the cooperation of these offices.
