Announced the inauguration on June 29, Executive Managing Director Masaharu Kurushima to President

1939

Aquired Denki Kogyo-sho and took over its Ogaki Plant(later Gama Plant)

1940

Corporate name changed to IBIGAWA ELECTRIC INDUSTRY CO., LTD.
Started transmission from Nishi-Daira Power Station, permitted output: 11,200kW

1942

Shifted to the management of electrochemical business by private power generation
Announced the resignation and inauguration on June 27, Toshio Miyadera assumed the presidency. Gengo Kodera assumed the office as Chairman. (Put under the capital of Dainippon Spinners Co., Ltd. (textile company))

1943

Began the manufacture of search light carbon (until 1945) at Aoyanagi Plnt (partly invested by Dainippon Spinners)

1945

Headquarters relocated to Ogaki City, Closed Ogaki Branch
Discontinued production of carbon products for search lighting system, then initiated production of carbon products for filming and medical applications

1946

Organized Ibiden Labor Union
Unaffiliated with Dainippon Spinners and shifted to self-independent corporation

1947

Integrated Nishi Ogaki Plant and Kido Plant into one Ogaki Plant

1949

Installed the first-in-Japan electric tunnel furance exclusive for carbon sintering

1950

Started production of fused phosphate fertilizer (until 1990)

1951

New head office building completed in Kanda-cho of Ogaki City (used until 2005)
Established Ibiden health Insurance Association

The plant (now the Aoyanagi Plant)
